I am responsible for Food Service Channels and generally everything that you will not find in the stores connected to HKScan in Sweden. Before becoming VP I was a Marketing manager for HKScan Sweden. I have been VP for just over a year and this is the most fun I have ever had in job. I am close to our customers which is great because they give me a lot of energy.
I also have the opportunity to lead people, which has been a very rewarding experience.
My days typically involve me checking on our sales and following up with colleagues on several internal projects. I am also personally responsible for one of our big customers: McDonalds, so my day may include a meeting with them or another big customer. I also meet with other Food Industry Management members to negotiate or start a collaboration as well as generally explain why HKScan is so much more than an industry giant.
Understanding the customers is key to success
The most important part of my role is to develop strategies that increase sales and provide good margins by understanding the customers need. I cannot do this alone so I must also encourage everyone in the team to ensure we are all focused on gaining and retaining business.
I have a great team with a good attitude and everyone does their utmost to deliver the best results which I am particularly proud of.

There is often so much debate surrounding food so to be a part of this is a huge responsibility. Also, being in the FMCG business means this is a very fast paced environment, dealing with fresh products means we need to be able to make quick decisions, there are many moments of pure adrenalin.
Being industry leader is something to be inspired by and it also creates a chance to show the level of care we put into our products because it is more than just sales, it is about quality.
