HKScan has joined the UN Global Compact initiative on corporate responsibility. Advanced responsibility work is an integral part of our strategy. For us, responsibility means genuine action throughout the food chain. We are on a journey towards carbon-neutral food production by the end of 2040.
In 2000, the UN launched the Global Compact initiative on corporate responsibility. It gives companies tools to promote and develop the ecological, social and financial responsibility using the ten responsibility principles of the UN Global Compact and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Nearly 13,000 companies from 160 countries have already joined the initiative.
Our commitment to the UN Global Compact is a natural extension of HKScan’s long-term, goal-oriented responsibility work. We have previously incorporated the Global Compact principles on human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption into our Code of Conduct and promoted the UN Sustainable Development Goals as part of our corporate responsibility programme.
